Training for the Treatment of Trauma

Traditional
psychotherapy addresses the cognitive and emotional elements of trauma, but lacks
techniques that work directly with the physiological elements, despite the fact
that trauma profoundly affects the body and many symptoms of traumatized individuals
are somatically driven.

Times: Thursday - Saturday 9 am - 5:30 pm and Sunday 10 am - 2:30 pm
Location: Edmonton, AB (exact location to be announced)
Tuition:
$3400 CAD +GST (Price subject to change). Tuition includes training and course materials. Please apply early as space is limited. You will receive a five percent discount for Early Registration (by November 4, 2006) or if Paid in Full. A deposit is due upon acceptance to the program to hold your place in the training. Payment plans are available.

Prerequisites and Application Requirements
To qualify, applicants must be graduate students, clinical interns or licensed in their field and state/province. To enroll, the SPI office must receive a written or emailed application accompanied by a US$25 (non-refundable) registration fee no later than two weeks prior to the start of the training. The application form for SPI can be accessed by clicking on the "SPI Training Application Form" button below. Please send this information directly to SPI through the means stated on the form (e.g., fax, e-mail, mail).
Once SPI office has qualified participants for the Trauma Training, Lousage Institute will receive registration information from SPI. Lousage Institute will then contact registrants to confirm enrollment, organize and collect payment.
Cancellation & Refund Policy:
In the event minimum enrollment is not met, Lousage reserves the right to cancel or reschedule the training and full refunds will be provided to participants.
In the event a participant cancels their enrollment earlier than 14 days prior to the training date, he/she will be refunded in full minus a 15% administration fee that will be withheld by Lousage. A partial refund is offered for cancellationswithin first 2 blocks of training. No refunds will be given for cancellations within the 3 & 4th blocks of training.
