Scholarship and Work-study Guidelines
The Sensorimotor Psychotherapy Institute (SPI) is committed to making its trainings available to all qualified applicants regardless of economic limitations. SPI achieves this goal through providing financial aid such a payment plans, scholarships and work-study programs.
Payment Plan
Payment plans are available to all students regardless of financial need. No application is required. A standard payment plan requires one (1) payment a month, with the balance paid in full by the end of the training. If circumstances require a smaller monthly payment, exceeding the length of the training, the SPI office will work with the student to design a specialized payment plan. Payment plans may be paid by credit card, automatic checking withdrawal (ACH) or post-dated checks. There is a $100 Administrative Fee for Level I: Training for the Treatment of Trauma and $150 Administrative Fee for Level II: Development, Attachment and Trauma and Level III: Certification. All payment plans must be set up by calling or emailing the SPI office at office@sensorimotor.org using subject line: Payment Plan. You will receive a payment plan contract to sign and to verify your agreement. This contract must be returned to the SPI office for your file.

There are work-study positions offered for each training. The work-study financial compensation is based on the number of work-study positions applied for and accepted. Each training has a budget for work-study and will allocate funds evenly between accepted applicants. The work-study financial compensation is between $400 and $1500 depending upon the number of work-study recipients and the length of the training. Work-study recipients are responsible for tasks associated with of the training. The tasks and responsibilities may be assigned by a trainer, training assistant (TA), the training organizer/liaison or the Institute. Work Study Application.
