Training Program in Affect Regulation, Attachment, and Trauma

Admission Requirements

Prerequisites

Level I

Training Program candidates must meet one or more of the following prerequisites:

  • Legally authorized in local state/province, or country to practice as a mental health professional
  • Graduate-level student currently enrolled in a mental health discipline at an accredited college or university
  • Post-graduate student actively engaged in the process of qualifying as a mental health professional legally authorized to practice

Level II

Level II candidates must fulfil each of the following criteria to be considered for enrollment:

  • Successful completion of the Level I Training
  • Recommendation from Level I Trainers
  • Completion of Training Application & Questionnaire

Level III

Level III candidates must fulfill each of the following criteria to be considered for enrollment:

  • Successful completion of Levels I and II
  • Recommendation from Level I and II Trainers
  • Completion of Training Application & Questionnaire
  • Interview with Level III Training Lead (after submitting application)

Training in Complex Trauma and Dissociation

Candidates for the Training in Complex Trauma and Dissociation must fulfill each of the following criteria to be considered for enrollment:

  • Successful completion of Level I
  • Recommendation from Level I Trainers
  • Completion of Training Application & Questionnaire

Application Process

Level I

Candidates who wish to participate in the Training Program in the United States and Canada must complete an online application, which consists of a questionnaire and the requirement to upload a resume or curriculum vitae (CV), as well as provide proof of one of the following:

  • Licensure in a mental health profession
  • Legal authorization to practice as a mental health professional in state/province, or country of residence
  • Enrollment in a graduate level mental health program at an accredited college or university; or Post-graduate degree and engagement in the process of qualifying as a mental health professional legally authorized to practice

A nominal, nonrefundable fee is assessed to all Level I applications.

Other Trainings

To apply to participate in Level II, Level III, or the Training in Complex Trauma and Dissociation the United States and Canada, eligible candidates must complete an online application consisting of a questionnaire.

Review Process

Applications are carefully reviewed for admission according to the following factors:

  • Prerequisites
  • Educational background
  • Clinical and professional experience
  • Reasons for attending
  • Group dynamic
  • Enrollment availability

Additional requirements or information may be requested from applicants, including an interview with a Trainer, references, legal documentation of licensure, or documentation of educational background or professional experience.
